When Pawleys Island in South Caroline was tɦrḙɑtḙnḙd to be hit by Hurricane Florence, the All 4 Paws Animal Rescue began to evacuate all their animals before the storm arrived. Together with the help of Big Fluffy Dog Rescue who quickly offered to rescue them, they found that there were cats needing rescue too so they knew what to do, and they will take them together.
According to the Big Fluffy Dog Rescue, it wouldn’t be a hurricane rescue unless they also brought back cats, their van was already full of dogs and cats to help them and brought them into a safe place during the ɦurricane.
The rescuers drove for 20+ hours round trip to save 21 dogs and 15 cats from the adoption center. The All 4 Paws were so thankful for Big Fluffy Dog Rescue for helping them to pick some furry friends.
They delivered eight cats to Nashville Cat Rescue and the other to different cat rescues. The Nashville Cat Rescue was so happy and thankful because the rescuers didn’t leave the cats behind during their dog rescue run.
“The animals were evacuated before Florence hit, not only ensuring their safety but also freeing up the coastal shelter to help with animals displaced by flooding and storm damage,” Nashville Cat Rescue said.
The rescue cats look so happy having a safe place during the hurricane. After that, the staff and volunteers started to find homes for the loving animals.
“Belle left her home of Pawleys Island to try her luck as a Nashville cat. She’s a little stressed by all the travel and change, but extremely grateful to be safe,” Nashville Cat Rescue said.
Luckily, the evacuees at Nashville Cat Rescue found their new lovely home where they can feel safe and loved. We are so grateful to everyone who helped to rescue the feline and gave them a warm and comfortable shelter during the bad weather.
